Welcome to our new Community Lead Kirsty Kipling

Who are you?

Hi, I’m Kirsty and I’ve just started my role as Community Lead for Pollinators. I love collaborating with others and being an active member of the local community so I’m really looking forward to my future with Pollinators!

What are you working on?

Along with being Pollinators’ Community Lead, I also work as a Communications Officer for NACC (Northern Agriculture Catchment Council). I want my passion for science communication to positively impact both my workplaces and the local community.

Who do you collaborate with?

As Pollinators’ Community Lead, I collaborate with all staff, members and partners of Pollinators. I believe knowledge is much more valuable when it is shared and that networking with like-minded members of our community is imperative for community growth.

Is there an innovation you’re loving right now?

I’m loving some of the latest apps out at the moment:

Star Chart – shows all the constellations as you hold your phone up to the sky.

Welcome to Country – shows different ‘welcome videos’ of traditional landowners, depending on where you are in relation to Aboriginal tribal boundaries.

Is there a time when you are most creative?

I find when I play or listen to music, I become more productive and creative. Music influences different areas of the mind and can be truly inspiring.

Pollinators exists to nurture people and innovations that enable healthy, resilient communities. Our services, programs and events deliver outcomes for the individuals, their ventures, and our wider community, ensuring we are all #winning. Membership is open to innovators, entrepreneurs and organisations who share our values: being connected, collaborative and creative.
