Who are you?
I practice and teach Pilates, it teaches me discipline and how to condition body. I love reading, it makes me feel wise and educated. I am passionate about photography which happened to be a part of my job – it helps me ‘be in the moment’.
My family is very important to me. My partner Rob is my best friend who lets me be ‘my way’. We have a dog Cindy who is the fist Pollinators dog-co-worker. Eighteen years ago, I left my home town in the Czech Republic and relocated to Australia. However, I take every opportunity to go back so I can spend some time with my precious parents and other family members.
What are you working on?
At the moment, I am working on my business ‘Flash Marketing’. I am in the process of repositioning my business (marketing and photography) so, I can offer relevant services and packages to local businesses. Next step will be re-launching my website, and working on stock photography.
Who do you collaborate with?
Partners, suppliers, coworkers, funders, sponsors…all of the above!
Is there an innovation you’re loving right now?
I like my new iPhone 6s. In particular, I like its camera and video quality – top class. I also like my new mini tripod Arkon with is ‘must have’ accessory for recording video with a mobile device. I can already see great benefits in using these tools for marketing/promotional purposes.
I am really big fan of any collaborative platform such as Google docs or Podio, storage management tool e.g., Dropbox and note taking with Evernote. Each of these tools has its own uniqueness so, you need to understand each to get the real benefits.
I don’t like accounting and being a business owner, I have to manage my finances. In past, I was using an Excel spreadsheet like many people still do. Early this year, I decide to trial Xero (cloud based accounting software). It took me a few months to get my head around Xero ‘logic’ and once I did, I would never go back to an Excel Spreadsheet.
Is there a time when you are most creative?
I am certain that I am not the only person who can say – ideas come to me in the shower (not every day). I get also very open to new ideas when I am driving a long distances. During this time, I am usually listening to various business podcasts and get some great inspirations which resonate with my business.
