Western Mulga – Venture Profile

What is your venture?

Now in our sixth year, our current venture at Western Mulga is to manage the first Aboriginal Ranger Program in partnership with the Northern Agricultural Catchments Council – NACC.   We’ll continue to foster Aboriginal engagement in the NRM sector at every opportunity from caring for local parklands to land in the outback. We will engage local Aboriginal people in land management teams to deliver environmental management services across the Midwest region.

What inspired your work?

We’re inspired by our Elders, the beautiful landscape of the Midwest and by all those who embrace and create opportunities for Aboriginal people to work on Country while making meaningful environmental and cultural heritage conservation outcomes.

What’s your focus for the next 3 months?

We’ll be focussed on building a stronger profile, presence, footprint and relationships for Western Mulga, engaging many skilled people around the Midwest and to become the ‘service provider of choice’ for ventures in 2018.

How can people connect or contribute to your venture’s success?

We’re always open and welcoming to anyone who shares our vision with their ideas, skills and suggestions and look forward to being a meaningful part of the Pollinators team.

Brad Farmer is Western Mulga’s Business Development and Public Affairs guy and is keen to hear from others.
