Members of the public are welcome to join Pollinators members to an inspirational and fun Friday evening social gathering.
How far would you go for your cause or passion?
Supporting Tim’s Voyage, The Indian Row, and sponsored by The Provincial.
Join inspirational global adventurers, local entrepreneurs and selfless charity workers in an open and fun discussion about ‘How far would you go?‘ followed by drinks at The Provincial.
Special guests include Tim Spiteri and fellow crew members of the crew about to row 8500km across the Indian Ocean.
All attendees will have the chance to share their stories, reflections and learning from going ‘beyond’ for their cause or passion.

Tim Spiteri is part of the crew attempting one of the last great challenges of human endeavour and endurance: rowing over 8,500 kilometres from Western Australia to South Africa, non-stop and without support. No rowing crew has ever made this crossing non-stop as most crews end their journey in Mauritius which is at least 1700 kilometres from mainland Africa. Each rower will man the oars for two hours followed by two hours of rest in a continuous shift cycle. With such a shift pattern, the aim is to complete the journey in approximately 50-70 days. Tim wants to make this voyage more than an epic adventure, he want to raise money for MS Australia – the Multiple Sclerosis Society. MS Australia is close to Tim’s heart as his mother suffers from the disease.
Some of Tim’s fellow crew members will also join. Each has their own unique story, history and cause or passion they’re pursuing. Amongst them are scientists, photographers, adventurers and sailors who have:
- Rowed the Atlantic,
- Cycled across Asia,
- Swum the English Channel,
- Raised tens of thousands of dollars for different charities and causes through their adventures.

Format:
In response to member feedback Pollinators are kicking off a new monthly social gathering, in partnership with The Provincial. The events will feature:
- MC Rosie Sitorus to facilitate connections and laughter,
- A compelling question that everyone can consider, discuss and learn from,
- Special guests to share their stories,
- Discounted drinks thanks to an extended Happy Hour for event attendees across at The Provincial.
