Come to (what may be!) the first of many events of the Geraldton Ultra Cool Poetry Club (GUCPC for short), as we welcome our FIRST guest host Allan Boyd (Perth) to run a workshop and poetry slam in our fine port city!
First up we will be running a performance poetry WORKSHOP during theday from 9:30am – 12:30pm at the Geraldton Regional Library. The workshop will give you an introduction to writing and performing poetry and you’ll have the chance to write something for the second event, which is…
…the POETRY SLAM will take place the same day from 7:30pm at CityHive, everyone’s favourite coworking/performance space! You can perform something you wrote that day, or come along with something you’ve prepared earlier. EVERYONE will be new at this, so dig in and have a go! We’ll have some food and drinks during/afterwards (to help with raucousness), though you are welcome to BYO.
This is a(nother!) chance for you to support new and exciting events in Geraldton, so please come and check it out. Tickets will be $10 for each individual event OR $15 for both. Observers are welcome at the slam as well (of course! 🙂 )
