What is your venture?
Midwest Adventure Tours provide visitors to Geraldton with experienced and guided tours within the town and surrounding region. Many tours are available, providing visitors with the option of exploring the history, food & produce, or the natural assets that the Midwest has to offer.
We provide tours that attract visitors from all age brackets either from intrastate, interstate or international demographics. Our main target demographic is couples and families.
What’s inspired your work?
Seeing as I’ve always had a passion for being out on the open road and discovering more about the history and bio-diversity of the Midwest, it seemed practical to share with others my experiences, knowledge and most importantly my desire to explore.
There had always been a wanting to step away from my full time and rather mundane employment, and when the opportunity came, I grasped onto the idea of providing a service that really promotes our town and region. Geraldton has started expanding, and with recent funding put into the tourism industry for Western Australia, it seemed a suitable time to pursue this venture.
What’s your focus for the next 3 months?
As I’m a new business owner, I have one vision and that is to gain customers and promote not only myself, but the town of Geraldton. My focus over the next few months is to be more specific on what Midwest Adventure Tours has to offer, by working on not only my social media platforms but the website too. It is a goal to become active with hotel providers within Geraldton, and to expand our marketing. I also need to grow and be more confident in the business, and not only sell tours, but sell myself as the face behind the organisation.
How can people connect or contribute to your venture’s success?
